won the Golden Bear for Best Short Film at the Berlin Film Festival 2002,
best Cinematography at Capalbio Short Film Festival,
and Prix UIP at the Valladolid Film Festival.
Nominated for a European Film Academy Award
It was shown at eighty five major festivals worldwide and was shown twice on ITV.

HISTORY:
Martin studied art at Goldsmith’s School of Art and filmmaking at The Royal College of Art Film School. He was a founding member of the pop/promo commercials company Pankino Productions, where he co-wrote and co-directed (with Graham Young) “The Long Way Round” (14 mins, 16mm) for the BRITISH FILM INSTITUTE, and a series of weird little one-minute domestic comedies collectively titled “The Other Room”. These attracted the attention of the London advertising industry, and he was named “Best New Commercials Director” by Creative Review Magazine (despite never having directed one).

He has directed over 120 TV commercials with a quirky comedy slant for This That and The Other Productions, including a series for DYSON Vacuum cleaners, an award-winning series of Road Safety commercials, 20 spots the " Don't Forget What You Came In For" campaign for WOOLWORTHS, and 10 spots for the “Flash Does the Hard Work” campaign. . He has also made ads for WOOLWICH, RENAULT, IKEA, ARGOS, AA, R. WHITES LEMONADE, LITTLE CHEF, BOLD, ARIEL and CILLIT BANG and programme idents for MIDLAND BANK, and DOVE among many others.
